Data Collection and Usage

Our AI chatbot collects two types of data: (1) chat messages between users and the chatbot and (2) click interactions on specific features (e.g., menu selections, reset button).

The purpose of collecting this data is to analyze general trends in chatbot usage, improve user experience, and identify which features are most used to guide enhancements to the chatbot. No personally identifiable information is collected.

Storage and Data Sharing

Chat messages and click data are stored in our secure databases until we decide to remove them. While no individual chat messages are shared, aggregated and anonymized trends may be shared with restaurants and other stakeholders (e.g., "A majority of users ask about parking").

Your data is not shared with any third parties beyond general trends and insights, and there is no method for linking data back to individual users.

User Identification and Anonymity

All data collected is anonymous. We do not collect personal information such as names, contact details, or IP addresses. Each chat session is identified by a session ID that is unrelated to any user-specific information.

If you contact us directly (e.g., via email or Instagram), any communication will be subject to the privacy policies of those platforms. We do not store or use any such information beyond these communications.

Use of Local Storage and Cookies

We use local storage to enhance your experience with the chatbot. Chat sessions are saved for up to 45 minutes after your last message to allow continuity in case of page refresh or revisit. After 45 minutes, the chat history is automatically deleted.

Basic restaurant data is also cached to improve the loading speed of restaurant selections. We do not use cookies to track user behavior or store any personal data.

User Rights and Data Control

Since our data collection is anonymous and there is no account system, users do not have the ability to opt out of data collection or request deletion of specific data. If the privacy policy changes, users are encouraged to review this page to stay informed.

Security and Compliance

We strive to implement appropriate security measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Although we currently operate within the United States and primarily adhere to U.S. privacy standards, we are committed to complying with all applicable privacy regulations and best practices.
